Senior DevOps Engineer

Backed by Schibsted News Media - the largest media group in Scandinavia, Podme is your go-to place for quality podcasts and audiobooks, bringing you a fresh selection of curated content, with popular titles found nowhere else.

As Podme's active user base is steadily growing, we are strengthening our infrastructure capabilities in Microsoft Azure to support higher traffic, resilient cloud services, and self-service infrastructure for product teams. To help us do this, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Content Management team, distributed across Poland, Sweden & Bosnia.

  • Cloud: Azure (AKS, networking, platform services)
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Messaging & Data: RabbitMQ, Redis
  • Automation & CI/CD: Azure DevOps, ArgoCD
  • Observability tools: Grafana, Prometheus
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, GitOps

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Build self-service infrastructure workflows that enable product teams to provision environments and infra hosting independently.
  • Design, implement and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure with IaC and provisioning automation.
  • Improve system observability, logging, monitoring and alerting.
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for reliability and speed.
  • Contribute to cloud security and general IT security best practices.
  • Define and implement disaster recovery strategies and runbooks.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams across multiple countries.
  • Support operational excellence, uptime SLAs and incident response.

ABOUT YOU

  • 5+ years experience in DevOps / Cloud / Infrastructure engineering (Senior level).
  • Strong experience with Azure and production Kubernetes clusters.
  • Deep knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration.
  • Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ or similar technologies.
  • Demonstrable expertise with automation (IaC / CI/CD).
  • Familiarity with GitOps principles.
  • Strong Linux experience and scripting skills.
  • Ability to work across distributed teams and with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Good command of English; Polish is a plus.
  • Experience in cloud security or general IT security is an advantage.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with infrastructure security concepts, practices and tooling.
  • Experience in creating self-service platforms and developer enablement tools.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
  • Startup experience.

    We work in a hybrid way and would like to catch up with you at our vibrant and colourful office in Kraków 2 days per week. This allows for collaboration and meaningful connections with the team.
