Main goal

The Commercial Operations Manager is responsible for implementing operational projects that ensure the professional delivery of on-site sponsorship rights to commercial affiliates for UEFA EURO 2028, which will take place in the UK and Ireland.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating the delivery of commercial affiliates’ rights for UEFA EURO 2028, ensuring they are delivered to a high quality, on time and within budget
  • Maintaining effective cooperation with internal and external stakeholders and proactively supporting the aspects of organisational projects relating to partners
  • Proposing, developing and implementing innovative processes, tools and communication solutions that maximise the value of marketing rights within UEFA’s operational framework
  • Drawing up and maintaining detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource plans and other essential documentation, producing post-event reports and transferring knowledge and best practices
  • Preparing the delegation of responsibilities and information flow to the on-site venue marketing teams, briefing and supporting them to ensure delivery of all on-site sponsorship rights at the venues during the competition
  • Being the project/operational lead and point of contact for specific on-site rights during UEFA EURO 2028, with temporary assignments at venues as required

The role may also act as local commercial domain leader and/or representing the overall commercial domain leader, contributing to the smooth delivery of on-site partners’ rights.

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

Experience:

  • More than 7 years of experience in commercial rights delivery and tournament operations or event organisation at an international level
  • more than 5 years of experience ina sponsorship environment at international level

Languages:

  • English / proficient

Other requirements:

  • Relocation to Switzerland/France is expected
  • Proficient project management skills, with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage and engage diverse stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel (working visits, final tournaments, etc.)
