Job Description
Meet Sievo!
Sievo is a fast-growing B2B SaaS company from Finland. Our super-power is procurement analytics: we help the world’s largest organizations understand their procurement data, make data-driven decisions, reduce emissions, and build supply chain resilience. Today, around 2% of global GDP is processed through Sievo every year.
We work with global companies such as Kellogg’s, Levi’s, and Deutsche Telekom. Our 400+ Sievonians are based in Helsinki, Chicago, Bucharest and London.
About the role
We’re looking for a Data Enrichment Specialist to join our Customer Operation team in Bucharest. In this role, you’ll work with real customer procurement (spend) data. Using our AI-supported enrichment tools, you’ll help classify spend and build accurate supplier structures-then review and validate the results to ensure the outputs are consistent and reliable.
If you enjoy working with data, have strong attention to detail, and want to learn in a collaborative, international environment—keep reading.
As a Data Enrichment Specialist, you will:
- Turn raw client spend-data into structured insights by categorizing purchases into a taxonomy and aligning suppliers under their correct parent companies.
- Use AI-supported enrichment tools to speed up and standardize classification, then review, validate, and fine-tune results to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Run recurring weekly/monthly processes smoothly and validate new data against historical values to spot anomalies.
- Investigate data issues (e.g., unclear supplier names, duplicates, missing information, unusual changes) and collaborate with teammates and, when needed, our software development teams to resolve them.
- Communicate with clients primarily via email and occasionally join client meetings together with your team/lead to clarify data questions.
- Manage your task list effectively by coordinating with internal stakeholders and aligning priorities with client timelines.
- Contribute ideas to improve our tools and ways of working—first by learning the current process, then by suggesting improvements to make enrichment faster and higher quality.
- Speak up and ask questions, we believe development comes from constructive curiosity and challenging the status quo (in a respectful, practical way).
What helps you succeed in this role:
- Interest in data quality / data operations (e.g., reporting, master data, data cleansing, analytics, operations, or similar).
- Motivation to work with customers and stakeholders to make sure data is accurate, consistent, and reliable.
- A proactive mindset: you can work independently on well-defined tasks, take ownership, and ask questions when something doesn’t look right.
- Strong attention to detail and patience to handle recurring tasks with care-while still spotting patterns and improvements.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize when multiple requests come in.
- Basic SQL (or strong willingness to learn): you can read existing scripts and write simple queries to check/validate data.
- Comfort using AI-supported tools in daily work-and a practical mindset to review, validate, and correct AI suggestions (no need to be an AI expert).
- Ability to learn new tools quickly and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Clear, professional communication skills (especially written).
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
Nice to have (bonus)
- Understanding of Procurement and/or Finance concepts.
- Basic familiarity with data visualization tools.
