(Senior) BI Developer for K Group

We are looking for a BI Developer to strengthen the BI and reporting solutions of the international Building and Technical Trade business area at K Group. Our team consists of BI, data and IT management professionals, and we work closely with different stakeholders from the business, analytics and IT. Together we support the Building and Technical Trade business in a wide range of data-driven management needs, with the goal of delivering the best customer experience in the retail sector. We operate responsibly, take data protection seriously, and base our work on ethical principles in the use of data and artificial intelligence. Who are we looking for?
Supporting the business through data and reporting is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your expertise in efficient data processing, transforming data into information, and visualizing it. You work closely with business stakeholders to understand their goals and needs. You build Qlik Sense applications to support decision-making and to improve the service experience of both consumer and B2B customers. As a BI Developer, you are responsible for data modeling, building data flows, visualizing data and supporting all of our operating countries when needed. You are not discouraged by challenges related to data or data availability; instead, you proactively seek effective solutions together with other experts. You are motivated by the opportunity to support the business in an impactful and forward-looking way by leveraging data and modern BI tools.
The focus of the role will be shaped based on the selected candidate’s strengths. If you are at an early stage of your career, you will receive a clear development path and support to gradually grow your responsibilities from Qlik Sense development and QVD-based data modeling towards managing broader data and BI solutions. For a more experienced professional, the role can be tailored as a technical lead for Qlik development within the business area: you define best practices, guide technical solutions, lead the team’s technical development, and ensure quality and maintainability, without forgetting hands-on development work.
The most important qualities are a business-driven mindset and a genuine interest in data and data-driven management. We expect you to have experience with SQL, data modeling, and reporting and analytics using modern BI tools. Qlik Sense expertise (including data modeling) is a strong advantage, and experience with Tableau or Power BI is also considered beneficial. Fluent communication skills in English are essential for success in this role. Knowledge of Finnish or another Nordic language is considered a strong advantage.
