Epassi’s purpose is to boost everyday well-being. We are a leading provider of employee benefit solutions across Europe. We were established in Finland in 2007, and in 2008 we were the first company to launch a mobile-payable employee benefit payment solution in Europe. Since then, we have consistently grown, diversifying our products and introducing our services into new markets.
Epassi has been awarded by the Financial Times as one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe on multiple occasions.

We are currently hiring a People & Culture Lead to be based in the Netherlands (Heerenveen or Amsterdam). This is a full-time position.

Your mission at Epassi

As People & Culture Lead, you will own and drive the People & Culture agenda in the Netherlands, while contributing to global P&C priorities and projects. You’ll be a key partner to the local management team and a central member of the global P&C community—building scalable people processes, strengthening leadership capability, and fostering an inclusive and engaging culture in a fast-growing international tech environment.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Own all People & Culture activities in the Netherlands and contribute globally in key areas and cross-company projects.
  • Implement and lead annual P&C processes locally (e.g., performance and talent processes), continuously improving existing practices and creating new procedures where needed.
  • Ensure a strong strategic link between Epassi’s people strategy and the Dutch organization’s business goals.
  • Drive culture, inclusion, and engagement initiatives locally and contribute to global culture development.
  • Train and coach the management team and line managers on leadership, employee development, and people topics.
  • Support the organization in employment law-related matters and ensure compliant HR practices.

You’ll be successful in this role if you:

  • Build trust with leaders and become a go-to sparring partner for people-related decisions.
  • Run the annual P&C cycle smoothly and measurably improve processes and employee experience over time.
  • Strengthen leadership capability across the organization through coaching and pragmatic guidance.
  • Drive visible progress in culture, inclusion, and engagement.
  • Navigate change with structure and calm prioritization in a fast-moving environment.

What you’ll be doing (daily):

  • Advising managers on employee lifecycle topics (performance, development, engagement, org changes).
  • Coaching leaders and supporting them in day-to-day people situations.
  • Working with the People Business Partner and global P&C colleagues to align on priorities, roll out frameworks, and execute projects.
  • Tracking progress on ongoing initiatives and improving local processes and documentation.
  • Handling employment law questions and coordinating with relevant internal/external stakeholders when needed.
  • Contributing to culture and engagement actions across sites (Heerenveen/Amsterdam).

What you should bring:

  • Solid experience in a broad People & Culture / HR role, ideally in an international, fast-growing organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch employment law and practical experience applying it in a business context.
  • Experience in performance management, talent development, and culture development.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and drive change in an agile environment.
  • Experience within SaaS/Tech industry is an advantage

Your language profile:

  • Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken).

Your track record:

  • Successfully implementing and improving HR/P&C processes end-to-end (from design to rollout and adoption).
  • Demonstrated impact in developing leadership capability and supporting managers through change.
  • Driving culture, engagement, and inclusion initiatives with tangible outcomes.
  • Confidently handling employment law topics and guiding leaders with sound judgement.

Your competency profile:

  • Business partnering: You connect people topics to business goals and coach leaders with pragmatism and credibility.
  • Change & project management: You structure ambiguity, prioritize well, and deliver improvements in a fast-moving environment.
  • Communication: You communicate clearly, adapt your message to different audiences, and build alignment across functions and countries.
  • Leadership coaching: You strengthen leadership skills through feedback, guidance, and hands-on support.
  • Culture & engagement mindset: You actively shape an inclusive environment where people can thrive.
  • Solution orientation: You stay calm under pressure, focus on outcomes, and find workable paths forward.
