HR Service & Payroll Generalist (m/f/d)

At Scandic, we believe that people make the difference – whether at the front desk or behind the scenes. As an HR Service & Payroll Generalist (m/f/d), you will be part of our central HR Team and ensure that our employees feel well supported, receive the right information at the right time, and that their salary reaches them reliably. You keep things running smoothly in the background – with heart, structure, and a good dose of humor.

What the role is about

This position combines the worlds of HR service and Payroll – perfect for someone who enjoys structure, data quality, and real human connection. You will work broadly across various HR‑administration‑related processes and actively contribute to the ongoing development of our services.

Together with your payroll colleague, you make sure that all data is complete, accurate, and submitted on time to our payroll provider. At the same time, you are the first point of contact and support for our employees on HR related topics within the employment circle. A special focus will be the local HR-system support to ensure that our workforce planning runs smoothly and efficient.

You know our tools, understand our processes, and help exactly where you are needed – clearly, kindly, and with a service‑oriented mindset.

What you will do

  • You are the first point of contact for our employees in all HR matters.
  • You support the entire employee lifecycle – from the employment contract to offboarding.
  • You become a pro in our scheduling tool and keep track of abbreviations, digital sick notes & more.
  • You keep our HR administration clean, reliable, and professional.
  • You communicate confidently – whether with employees, managers, or partners.

In short: your workday is varied – and you’re right in the middle of things, not just watching from the sidelines. This position is limited for one year.

Skills & Requirements

We are looking for a new colleague who is pensioned about people and hospitality, where service is a part of the DNA and who is hands-on and eager to get things done. This is also important for us:

  • First experiences with HR-related topics
  • High accuracy and reliability when working with sensitive data
  • A service‑oriented mindset, strong structure, and a good eye for solutions
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn, enabling you to quickly dive into new topics
  • Excellent German and good English communication skills
  • Strong digital skills and confident use of Microsoft Office
  • Experiences in working with work force management and HR-systems
