We are now looking for a Legal Trainee to join our Group Legal function at Tokmanni Group. Operating in Finland, Sweden and Denmark, we work closely with our business across the Nordics, supporting a wide range of legal and regulatory matters. With us, legal is not a distant support function – it is a practical and integral part of everyday business.
In this role, you will collaborate with a broad network of experienced internal stakeholders across different functions, from sustainability and IT to finance and commercial teams.
What would you be doing?
As a Legal Trainee, you will support the Group Legal function across a variety of legal areas. Depending on your background and interests, your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting legal work related to sustainability regulation and responsible business practices
- Assisting with compliance matters
- Contributing to IT and technology law assignments, including contract reviews
- Supporting data protection assessments and related documentation
- Assisting with listed company regulation matters
- Helping with day-to-day legal questions from the business
- Participating in the development and improvement of legal processes within the Group.
We are happy to shape the role to some extent based on your strengths and development goals. Our aim is that you genuinely learn, take increasing responsibility, and gain insight into how an in-house legal function operates in practice.
What are we hoping from you?
We hope you are:
- A law student with a few years of completed studies
- Interested in areas such as sustainability law, compliance, IT law, data protection and/or listed company regulation
- Ideally already familiar with working life through experience at a law firm or in an in-house role
- Proactive, solution-oriented and comfortable taking initiative
- Fluent in Finnish and English (Swedish is a significant advantage in our Nordic environment)
- Able to work on-site in Mäntsälä on a weekly basis
- Available to start as soon as possible.
You will work in a Group-level role, report directly to the Chief Legal Officer, and collaborate closely with various teams across the international organization.

This is a fixed-term internship starting as soon as agreed and continuing for six months. The weekly working hours are 37.5, and the internship includes an internship allowance. On office days, we work at our Head Office in Mäntsälä.
