Automation Manager (Parental Leave Cover)
Now you have the chance to be part of an innovative and
creative phase in Scandic’s history. We are looking for a highly motivated
Marketing Automation Manager for maternity cover starting immediately until
October 2027, with a possible extension. In this role, you will act as the
Business Owner of our Marketing Automation platform, bridging the gap between
commercial strategy and technical execution to drive revenue, loyalty and customer
engagement.
You will develop and manage automated, and personalized omnichannel communication. Beyond execution, you will have a strong commercial focus, being responsible for setting up business case, and follow-ups to ensure the activities align with strong performance and reaching KPIs.
Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and overseeing automated customer and member journeys, marketing campaigns, optimization follow ups, and other digital interactions in an omnichannel setup. You'll craft journeys for specific target audiences, ensuring timely and relevant communication while maintaining a high standard of customer experience through engaging interactions. In addition to journey and campaign logic, you’ll also play a collaborative role in enabling data flows, dynamic content logic, and personalization scripting that supports scalable, data-driven communication.

Our CRM teams work in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and
Salesforce Data360. We operate in an omnichannel environment, and therefore we
expect you to have a strong interest in learning additional platforms and
channels for orchestration and personalization. You are responsible for our custom templates in Salesforce,
based on data and design, and the implementation of the logic required to
visualize the content, with support from UX, Content and Tech teams.
We're seeking someone with experience in a similar role, ideally within the
travel industry. You should be adept at creating dynamic, personalized
communication and be a proficient data-driven problem solver. Your passion
should lie in fostering long-term customer engagement and comprehending
customer needs throughout their lifecycle. You love to be at the forefront and
are constantly finding new automated solutions. You follow the CRM team’s work processes
and strive to use AI to offer customers a smooth customer journey, and work
efficiency. Experience in AMPscript and a deep understanding of
personalization scripting is a big plus, as you'll be hands-on in building and
maintaining dynamic content across languages and segments. Ideally, you're also
comfortable collaborating with data and tech teams to define requirements, set
priorities, and manage data extensions, query activities, and the ingestion of
new customer data streams.
Your key responsibilities will include;
• Platform Ownership. Act as the Business Owner for the marketing automation platform. You will own the platform governance, including quality, naming standards, documentation, and dynamic content standards.
• IT & Tech Collaboration. Act as the primary lead for all development involving the marketing automation platform. You will bridge business and technology by writing user stories, defining technical specifications, and set priorities to ensure successful delivery.
• Commercial Optimization. Use insights, data, and A/B testing to optimize automated journeys and platform performance. Your focus will be on driving continuous improvement in engagement, personalization grades, and conversion.
• Scalable Automation. Build and enhance trigger-based flows, defining the technical requirements for real-time activation and ensuring data readiness.
• Commercial Strategy. Develop business targets for new automation opportunities and perform follow-up on performance against overarching KPIs.
• Lifecycle Management. Develop and optimize automated customer journeys across all stages and channels, from acquisition to post-stay and retention.
Experiences you bring with you
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Advanced platform expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, dynamic content, personalization scripting, AMPscript).
• Proven experience in setting requirements, and priorities for IT/Tech, and understanding of API and integration logic.
• A commercial mindset with experience in building business cases and measuring the impact of automation on business goals.
• Experience working with CDP, preferably Salesforce Data360 for segmentation, data flows, and personalization.
• Solid understanding of SQL and data management in CRM contexts.
• Knowledge of HTML and email best practices.
• Background in the travel industry is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in Swedish and English.
