We are looking for a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer to join our System Software Development team in Vantaa.

What is our core in Murata Finland?

We are developing leading edge gyroscope and accelerometer safety-critical sensors for global automotive, industrial and healthcare markets. We design full custom mixed mode ASICs from concept level to volume production including wafer level testing. Global megatrends, such as digitalization and aging populations, are driving demand for advanced sensing solutions. We see the future full of new opportunities – from robotics and drones to humanoids and other exciting applications.

How about the role?
Our team's mission is to produce high quality embedded software for our own custom test systems, that can be deployed anywhere in the global Murata Group. To achieve this, we are constantly evolving our know-how, stay accountable for our work and follow agile processes to make high quality software. We are highly motivated to achieve our challenging goals.

Your main tasks as a Software Engineer:

  • Develop embedded software for existing and future testing platforms.
  • Design and implement various embedded systems for interesting projects.
  • Improve operational infrastructure for the team.

What we expect from you:

  • A suitable technical educational background (M.Sc.) with an emphasis on computer science, physics, automation systems, or mathematics.
  • Prior experience in software development projects. Especially experience with embedded systems and embedded Linux.
  • Professional level for C and/or Rust programming.
  • Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Willingness to share your knowledge and a strong motivation to collaborate with multiple in-house teams.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Understanding of electronical circuits.
  • Knowledge in measuring and testing electronics.

Skills and qualities that will support your success:

  • Knowledge of Python, Bash, Java, Lua, Databases, SQL, VHDL.
  • Experience with Version Control Systems.
  • Experience with AI tools in software development.
  • Experience with maintaining Linux servers and systems.
  • Experience with digital signal processing and Matlab.
  • Good communication skills in Finnish.

This is a full-time, permanent position, and the starting date is negotiable. We offer a flexible hybrid work culture that supports different ways of working.
