Now, we’re looking for a Cyber Security Engineer who wants to strengthen how we detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents in a modern, cloud native fintech environment.
⭐ What you’ll work on
You’ll be part of our security engineering environment, working hands on with detection, response, and investigation capabilities across our cloud platforms and systems.
Your work directly supports trust in Vipps MobilePay by ensuring incidents are identified quickly, investigated thoroughly, and handled in a way that protects both users and the business.
This is a technical role with real impact. What you build and operate helps keep money flowing safely, reliably, and invisibly.
⭐ What you’ll focus on
1. Building strong detection and response capabilities 🔐
You build and maintain detection, response, and investigation capabilities, including custom tooling and automation. You design, build, and maintain security infrastructure as code, making security scalable and reliable by default.
2. Investigating and responding to real incidents 🧠
You investigate and respond to security incidents through hands on technical analysis across systems and cloud environments. You identify, collect, and refine logs and signals that actually matter and turn them into effective alerting and response workflows.
3. Improving tools and ways of working ⚙️
You operate and continuously improve the team’s tooling and services using DevOps practices. You collaborate closely with DevOps and software engineering teams to integrate security naturally into development and deployment processes.
4. Staying curious and technically sharp 📚
You stay up to date on threats, attack techniques, and defensive methods, and apply this knowledge in practice rather than just in theory.

Have experience with
- Hands on security engineering, especially within detection, response, or incident handling
- Working in cloud native environments such as Azure
- Building or operating security tooling, pipelines, or infrastructure as code
- Collaborating closely with engineers in DevOps and product teams
Bring with you
- A practical, problem solving mindset and a focus on what actually works
- The ability to make complex technical signals understandable and actionable
- Clear and confident communication in English, as we work across countries
- Curiosity and a desire to keep learning as threats, systems, and tools evolve
