In this role, you will collaborate closely with tv.nu, one of Sweden’s strongest digital brands and part of the Schibsted media family.

ABOUT THE TEAM

tv.nu helps over 1.1 million users each week discover what to watch across TV, streaming, and sports.
We are a small, friendly, and highly product-focused team where developers, designer, and product manager work closely together. We care deeply about performance, usability, and delivering a great everyday experience to our users.

We’re now looking for a Senior Web Developer who will strengthen our web platform and play a key role in driving technical direction and quality across the frontend team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll join the Web platform, working with React, Next.js, and TypeScript to build a fast, modern, and scalable platform used by millions each month. You’ll take ownership of frontend quality and help set standards and direction for how we build and evolve the web platform.

As a senior member of the client team, you’ll influence architecture, contribute to technical decision-making, and help raise the overall quality and sustainability of our web platform, and the whole product.

In this role, you will:

• Build, ship, and maintain high-quality features using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Take part in architectural discussions, balancing speed, quality, and maintainability
• Collaborate closely with the backend and client engineers, designers, and product managers
• Use data and user insights to guide product, performance, and technical decisions
• Contribute to cross-team initiatives that improve developer experience, reliability, and scalability

ABOUT YOU

We believe you’ll thrive here if you enjoy building things end-to-end, working in a close-knit team, and contributing not only to code, but also to how we work together.

You have:

• Several years of professional experience in web development
• Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript
• A solid understanding of performance optimization and web accessibility
• Experience with Node.js, Express.js, and modern build pipelines (e.g. Vite, Webpack, Babel)
• Comfort taking full ownership of web development tasks and delivering independently when working as the sole web developer within a broader client or product team
• Familiarity with Docker and Git-based workflows
• Clear communication skills you can explain the why behind your technical decisions
• A collaborative mindset
• Communicative level of English

It’s great if you also have:

• Experience migrating larger or legacy codebases to modern frameworks
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and web analytics
• Familiarity with design systems and maintaining UI consistency across platforms
