Consumer Products Designer to Pixelated Game Studio

We’re looking for a creative, collaborative and detail-oriented Consumer Products Designer to join the Licensing & Consumer Products team at one of the most beloved gaming brands in the world. This is your opportunity to bring a global IP into fans’ everyday lives across physical products like apparel, stationery, health & beauty, food & beverage and more.

The main focus in this role will be product development and product approvals. You’ll work with existing partners, reviewing concepts, artwork, and physical samples, guiding them through the process to ensure quality and brand alignment.

You won’t be creating your own product lines from scratch, but your design background and sharp eye will be central to every approval you give.

The environment is dynamic and sometimes fast-paced, so being grounded, responsive and able to shift focus when needed is key. You’ll work closely with senior creatives, external licensees and internal stakeholders, and you should be comfortable giving clear, constructive feedback. Occasional evening meetings with partners across time zones may occur.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead product development and approval processes across selected product categories
• Review and give structured visual and verbal feedback on product concepts, artwork and physical samples
• Make informed approval decisions at each stage of the product lifecycle
• Ensure creative consistency and brand integrity across all outputs
• Collaborate on ideas and concepts for new product categories or partner activations
• Support internal projects and take part in creative sessions
• Present your rationale and design feedback clearly in discussions with partners and stakeholders

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of relevant experience as a designer or art director in a similar role or field
• Proven experience in consumer product design and product approvals, preferably within licensing
• Background in product categories such as apparel, stationery, health & beauty, or food & beverage is a strong plus
• A degree in design, fashion, graphic design or a similar creative discipline
• Confident user of Adobe Creative Suite
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects in parallel
• Collaborative towards team and partners, and comfortable discussing with stakeholders
• A true team player with a serviceminded approach
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
• Interest in gaming and/or fan-centric brands is a big plus

Practical details

This is a temporary role (18 months) starting as soon as possible, depending on availability. The role is full time, based in Stockholm, hybrid set-up with 3 days/week onsite at the studio.
