WHO ARE YOU?

• Experience from audit or accounting in complex settings.
• Demonstrated experience working with large datasets using analytics tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, Python)
• Process-oriented, with experience across Order to Cash (OTC), Purchase to Pay (PTP), and/or Record to Report (RTR).
• Experience with process automation tools, workflow optimisation, and/or AI-driven finance solutions.
• Change-oriented with the ability to break down silos, challenge legacy ways of working, and help teams move toward more effective end-to-end finance processes through trust, influence, and collaboration.
• Collaborative and communicative, able to translate insights into practical improvements, with full fluency in English.
• Experience with Microsoft D365 is an advantage.
• As a person, you’re independently driven and highly collaborative. You’re curious about new technologies and able to translate analytical insights into actionable improvements for Finance Operations.

WHAT’S THE JOB LIKE?
As our new Accountant, your mission is to help transform Vend’s Finance Operations into a simple, effective, and high-quality provider of accounting insights, supporting both internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll work on day-to-day:

• Act as a point of contact for legal entity accounting, VAT, tax, and statutory reporting
• Handle core accounting activities such as:
  • Allocating payments and cash receipts
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • VAT handling and ad-hoc accounting queries
  • Error handling of automated accounting processes
• Collaborate across OTC, PTP, and RTR to support end-to-end process improvements
• Drive the implementation and evaluation of AI-enabled solutions (automated reconciliations, anomaly detection, workflow automation)
• Help establish and monitor KPIs aligned with Vend’s and Financial Reporting’s goals
• Execute and report on the design and effectiveness of internal controls for one or more legal entities
