We are looking for a Power Operations Specialist to join our growing Power team.

The position can be based in either our Espoo or Jyväskylä office.

As a Power Operations Specialist, you will work as part of the Power Team, ensuring high-quality operational delivery for customer portfolios, supporting onboarding processes, and maintaining operational readiness across the Nordic power markets. The role provides wide insight into power operations—from customer implementation and market processes to forecasting, scheduling, and settlement.

Main responsibilities in the role are:

• Support the onboarding process for new customers into Gasum’s power services
• Configure and validate customer setups, including metering points, grid connections, balancing responsibility, portfolio structures, settlement configurations, and Multi Market Optimisation (MMO) functions
• Ensure operational readiness for new contracts, including scheduling, forecasting, nomination processes, and data flow validation
• Oversee daily operational processes across Nordic power markets, including day‑ahead and intraday schedules, nominations and renominations, balancing follow‑up, and production/consumption forecasting
• Monitor the accuracy and reliability of metering data, settlement data, and operational reporting
• Support customers in optimising operations and minimising imbalance‑related costs
• Standardise and improve operational workflows, documentation, and daily practices
• Identify process gaps and propose automation and efficiency improvements
• Support the development and deployment of new tools for forecasting, scheduling, metering, and settlement
• Work closely with legal and contract teams to ensure operational compliance and feasibility
• Collaborate with product development teams to integrate new offerings into operational processes
• Participate in workshops, technical customer meetings, and regulatory consultations

What we expect from you:

• University degree (MSc/MBA or equivalent)
• Fluency in English (Nordic language skills are an advantage)

•Experience with Python and SQL for process automation and data analysis
• Solid understanding of Nordic power markets and operational processes
• Experience in customer onboarding and system configuration
• Knowledge of forecasting, scheduling, nominations, and settlement processes
• Familiarity with metering and operational data flows
• Analytical and problem‑solving mindset
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Positive attitude toward change and continuous improvement
