We are looking for an Analyst for Power Trading to join our Power team.
The position can be based in either our Espoo or Jyväskylä office.
Our purpose is to secure access to cleaner energy for our customers. We help them navigate the energy transition towards continuously reducing emissions. Our areas of expertise are biogas, liquefied biogas (LBG), natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and electricity markets. We help our customers in navigating the energy market also through managing the risks and benefits of a changing market.
As an Analyst you will work as part of the Power Team, maintaining and improving forecasting tools, performing data‑driven market analysis, and supporting product and system development. The role provides wide insight into Power Trading activities—from forecasting and market optimization to operational systems and customer portfolio analysis.
Main responsibilities in the role are:
• Support the development and implementation of asset balancing services and Multi‑Market Optimization (MMO) products
• Maintain and improve forecasting tools, systems, and processes to ensure accuracy and operational readiness
• Perform data analysis using Databricks to support forecasting and market optimization activities
• Participate in the development of new products, tools, and systems
• Prepare and maintain reports on market trends, forecasts, and operational performance
• Participate in customer work by providing analytical insights for optimization initiatives
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with market requirements
What we expect from you:
• University degree (MSc/MBA or equivalent)
• Fluency in English (Nordic language skills are an advantage)
• Understanding of Nordic power markets and forecasting processes
• Experience in data analysis and reporting within energy or trading environments
• Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Databricks) and forecasting systems
• Experience with Python and SQL for process automation and data analysis
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and continuous‑improvement mindset
• Proactive and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in changing conditions
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer‑focused teamwork skills
