Senior Business Controller

We are looking for a Senior Business Controller to join our team in Espoo.
You will be a business finance partner for Technical Communications and Data Solutions (TCDS) Service Area and an active member of the TCDS management team. You’ll report to VP, Group Business Controlling and in matrix to TCDS Service Area head. Together with the management team you will drive strategy execution and business improvements in TCDS business globally.
Your main responsibilities
- Providing insights to help decision making by analyzing drivers of performance.
- Contribute to building action plans to deliver on our targets and strategy.
- Being a close business partner with line and project management and having an important role in business related decision making and steering.
In this role you will also
- Manage monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting process for the service area.
- Manage project controlling including project accounting, profitability follow-up and development of project control procedures.
- Validate business cases and business models.
- Identify business improvement opportunities and conduct working capital management and cost control procedures.
- Support Service Area management in M&A activities and in the financial integration of the acquired businesses.
- Participate in financial system and process development projects.
- Ensure compliance and effectiveness of internal controls.
Your skills skills and experience
- A suitable education (e.g. M.Sc. in economics)
- Minimum of five years of relevant work experience with responsibility of controlling of an entity, preferably in a mid-sized global company.
- Good general understanding and hands-on experience in basic finance processes.
- Fluent communication skills and ability to influence.
- Proactive, analytical and self-driven mindset.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, Finnish language skills is an asset.
- Knowledge of ERP and reporting systems and good MS excel skills.
