HSE Specialist

Join Kubota as a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist!

As an HSE Specialist, you will join the MEU Department, reporting to the Group HSE & Kaizen Manager.

In this role, you will support the regional HSE function by coordinating projects, managing data, standardizing the HSE Management System, and ensuring clear communication across European entities. You will also contribute to the smooth execution of Group-level HSE initiatives and support the Health & Safety and Environmental Committees through gap analysis, process alignment, training, coordination, and follow-up on corrective actions.

The preferred work location is Nieuw-Vennep, Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, verify, and consolidate monthly HSE KPIs from European entities.
  • Support HSE reporting for MEU, the Executive Board, and the Global HSE Promotion Department.
  • Create, revise, and maintain HSE procedures, Group-level templates, SharePoint pages, and Power BI data inputs.
  • Support incident and near-miss data collection, prepare basic trend analyses for stakeholders, and provide technical guidance on effective incident investigation and reporting practices.
  • Assist with scheduling, minutes, and follow-up actions for HSE committees
  • Coordinate with local entity HSE contacts on assigned topics and initiatives.
  • Support preparation activities for audits, self-checks, and HQ surveys.

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE); NEBOSH and/or IOSH qualification is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with ISO management systems (ISO 9001/14001/45001) is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and analyze basic data and translate it into clear reports.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe (up to 50%).
