IT Project Manager – Infrastructure & Managed Services - Temp 12 Months

A bit about the role:

Note : This is a temporary 12 months contract

Lead and deliver infrastructure project that enable migration to AWS and Azure, with a strong emphasis on networking (VPNs, firewalls, routing, connectivity). You’ll own end-to-end planning and execution, coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors, and ensure a robust transition into steady-state operations. Hybrid/on-site in Prague. Fixed-term contract for 12 months. Start: ASAP.

Outcomes & Key Deliverables

· Cloud Migration Plan — Maintain and improve roadmap covering scope, milestones, timelines, dependencies, risks, cutover approach, rollback, and cost estimates.

· Project Reporting & Governance — Produce clear status updates, RAID logs, executive summaries, and stakeholder communications; run weekly ceremonies and stage gates.

· Vendor & MSP Management — Lead onboarding/transition to a new MSP and hold vendors accountable to delivery and security standards. (Aligns with our MSP service catalogue and SPOC/ITIL practices.) · Technical Documentation — drive project team to ensure timely creation of architecture packs (HLD/LLD), network design/runbooks, security controls, IP addressing and routing, DNS, IAM integration, interconnects (AWS↔Azure↔on-prem/branch), and operational handbooks. (Follow our VPC/TGW, hub-and-spoke, and firewall standards.)

· Handover & Training — Deliver knowledge transfer to internal teams; confirm support model readiness (triage, escalation paths, DR plans), and sign off on acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

· Lead multi-workstream infrastructure migrations (landing zones, networking, identity, compute, storage, monitoring) across AWS and Azure.

· Validate network design to ensure connectivity patterns (site-to-site VPN, routing through central gateways, firewall policy baselines) and ensure secure east-west/north-south traffic flows consistent with standards.

· Coordinate cutovers, pilots, and phased migrations; manage freeze windows and risk-based go/no-go decisions.

· Orchestrate cross-team delivery (Cloud, Network/Security, Platform, App Owners, Service Operations) and external partners (MSP, OEM/vendor).

· Establish metrics and dashboards (availability, performance, change success rate, incident MTTR, cost vs. forecast), and drive continuous improvement.

· Ensure compliance with security baselines, access control, and audit requirements; maintain accurate CMDB entries and configuration state.

Skills & Requirements

About you:

Education and experience required:

· 5+ years’ infrastructure project management with proven delivery of cloud migrations (AWS/Azure) and network transformations.

· Track record managing vendors/MSPs and introducing new service providers under formal SLAs/ITIL.

Technical Skills

· AWS/Azure (VPC, Transit Gateway, Network Firewall / Fortigate controls, IAM integration)

· Networking: IP addressing/CIDR, routing (static/BGP), DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, network segmentation, Site-to-Site connectivity.

· Understanding of identity and access patterns across cloud/on-prem; secure connectivity between environments.

Tools

· Jira (delivery management), Smartsheets or similar (Project Management), Confluence (documentation), Jira (ITSM, CMDB, change).

Soft Skills

· Strong communicator and stakeholder manager; comfortable with exec-level updates and technical deep dives.

· Self-starter who drives clarity, decision-making, and outcomes in a matrix environment.

· Structured problem-solver with risk management discipline and bias for action.

Nice-to-Have Certifications (Preferred)

· PMP/Prince2, Agile (Scrum), ITIL Foundation.

· Technical Qualifications in AWS or Azure
