As part of the Finance team at Zenvo, the Accountant plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational transparency. This position is responsible for maintaining reliable financial records, performing reconciliations, and supporting reporting and audit activities. The role is essential to the company’s day-to-day financial control and contributes directly to Zenvo’s financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping and maintain general ledger entries
- Reconcile bank transactions and monitor account activity
- Process supplier invoices and employee expense claims
- Assist in monthly and annual financial closing processes
- Organize and maintain financial documents and records
- Support VAT and tax reporting in compliance with local regulations
- Assist in audit preparation and supply required documentation
- Handle payroll-related accounting tasks, including salary journals and reconciliations
- Ensure correct processing of monthly salaries in coordination with payroll providers
- Maintain and update employee payroll data such as tax cards, holiday allowances, and benefits
- Coordinate with HR regarding new hires, terminations, and salary changes
- Ensure compliance with Danish labor and tax regulations related to payroll
- Submit reports and declarations to public authorities (e.g., SKAT, Virk, Danmarks Statistik)
- Support pension, insurance, and employee benefit reporting
- Contribute to stock and inventory accounting
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent vocational training
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting role
- Good understanding of accounting fundamentals and Danish bookkeeping regulations
- Knowledge of salary administration and reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data handling
- Familiarity with Virk reporting
- Familiarity with Danmarks Statistik
- Experience with stock and inventory management
- Proficient in English
- Fluent in Danish, both spoken and written.
