Marketing Artist (RPG Studio)

Are you an artist passionate about creating clear, user appealing and high quality marketing graphics design for commercially successful games? Perfect, we at the Rovio Stockholm RPG Studio are looking for a talented Marketing Artist to help us with content marketing for current and upcoming titles.

As the Marketing Artist, you will concept and create key art visuals (both static and animated), create A/B tests from pre existing art, social media assets and more.

The Rovio Stockholm Studio is behind the hugely popular title Angry Birds 2 and while soaring on that success we are also developing several new IP's and exploring new game ideas within the RPG genre, as well as improving and expanding Angry Birds 2 even further. In the studio, situated in the city centre, we keep a flat hierarchy, with a high level of transparency and clear open communication within the studio. We challenge each other and ourselves in all we do here but keep the atmosphere friendly, inclusive, respectful and supportive.

We seek someone whose creative output makes our team and players get excited. You need a portfolio demonstrating your skills in graphics design, illustration and specifically marketing art assets it must show a bottomless passion for excellent mobile marketing. You will be working closely with the game teams, community managers, marketing team, art directors and external agencies to create unforgettable experiences for our fans.

What you’ll take under your wings:

  • Transforming existing art assets in different file formats into dynamic, compelling marketing creatives.
  • Concepting and build out store and marketing assets for a variety of game types.
  • Creating, staging and polishing key art & icons following an established style
  • Working closely with the Marketing Director to define priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Animate, composite and edit gameplay footage and game assets into fun and entertaining video creatives
  • Helping to develop, set, and follow standard production practices.
  • Designing A/B creative tests and iterating on design based on results.
  • Ability to follow the game’s visual style for all visual material produced
  • Working closely with the Marketing team to iterate on top performing assets
  • Assist with outsourcing marketing creatives to external partners
  • Working on art for social media
  • Communicate and work together with the Game Studio

We’d love if you have these feathers in your cap:

  • At least 3 years of experience working as a designer or artist in advertising, marketing or similar, this is not a game artist role.
  • Creative and innovative to find solutions to use existing game assets in a smart way
  • Excellent graphic design skills, including the effective use of color, composition and typography
  • Solid traditional drawing and illustrating skills
  • Proficiency in Photoshop
  • Basic knowledge of Premiere and After Effects
  • Experience from creating digital and print output
  • Self-driven, responsible and passionate about details
  • Ability to tackle challenges and solve problems with a strong sense of ownership
  • Organized with the ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Works well in a collaborative team environment, and is able to accept and follow directions
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing)
