The role

Manage the day-to-day service and maintenance, including (spare) parts for the technical installations in the assigned organizational unit. Skills & Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Oversee overall maintenance processes at the EPS depot in Gliwice, including maintenance strategies, preventive maintenance, yearly maintenance plans, root cause analysis (RCA), monitoring monthly/yearly OEE, handling emergency breakdowns, spare parts management, maintenance budget, process improvements, and cost optimization.
  • Maintain equipment primarily at the Gliwice depot, additionally at Teresin and Ploiești depots.
  • Business travel required: to Teresin (area of Warsaw) approximately every 1–2 weeks, to Ploiești (Romania) roughly once per quarter. Other business trips within the CEE region may also be necessary.
  • Ensure depot equipment operates efficiently and in compliance with company standards, working closely with local Technicians at our depots.
  • Coordinate external service providers and manufacturers for planned maintenance or emergency interventions.
  • Participate in international company projects such as opening new depots, installing new equipment, and upgrading or modernizing existing equipment.
  • Work with specialized equipment including PLCs, sensors, and pumps.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a maintenance engineer/technician in the manufacturing industry or similar maintenance activities.
  • Minimum of a high school education in a technical field (electrical or automation).
  • Valid electrical certification in the country of employment (independent electrician level).
  • Strong practical technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, heating, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot various types of equipment.
  • Experience with PLC programming is an advantage.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and circuit diagrams.
  • Good business communication skills for interaction with service providers.
  • Flexibility and problem-solving skills.
  • English language proficiency at B2 level.
  • Polish language proficiency at C1 level.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables (mandatory).

-We are founded in 1992.

-We introduced our iconic green reusable plastic crates (RPCs) in the 90's, which became a staple in the transportation and storage of fresh produce across Europe.

-In the mid-2000s, we implemented RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology to track and trace our RPCs more efficiently.

-In 2021 we started using the first recycled folding trays.

-We’ve got over 70 service centres all over Europe – you can find us in most countries. So, wherever you are in Europe, our efficient network has got you covered.

-Through new technologies and knowledge, we were able to lower our washing temperature in 2022 which resulted in significant reduction of between 47% and 52% in our gas consumption.
