Be part of the opening of the very first Scandic Go in Norway!
We are opening a brand-new hotel with a completely new concept, and the very first Scandic Go in Norway will open on March 3rd. This is a unique opportunity to join us from the very beginning and help shape the guest experience in a modern, simplified, and people-focused hotel concept.
As a Host at Scandic Go, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, vibrant, and seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. You are present in the lounge, where you combine service, sales, and hospitality – offering excellent service, handling check-in and check-out, preparing food and beverages, and sharing local tips and destination insights with our guests.
You will receive full training and onboarding before the hotel opens, giving you a solid understanding of the concept, systems, routines, and service standards. We aim for employment ahead of the opening, with an ideal start date around mid-February, so you feel confident and ready when we open our doors.
The role is hands-on and operational, with responsibility for daily routines, guest communication via email and phone, food and beverage sales (including alcohol), preparation of breakfast and snacks, ordering supplies in a cost-efficient and sustainable way, and ensuring cleanliness, safety, and quality in the lounge and common areas. You work in accordance with Scandic’s values, policies, and Code of Conduct, and follow the Scandic Go Employee Handbook.
You report to the Hospitality Manager and collaborate closely with colleagues and managers across the hotel. The role also includes acting in line with safety procedures, food handling routines, and alcohol legislation, as well as reporting incidents, risks, or deviations when needed.
This is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being part of building something new – in a hotel concept designed for today’s travellers.
We offer strong development opportunities within our organization. If you have the desire and ambition to grow, you will have the opportunity to develop your career with us.

Did you know that…TOM
TOM... Scandic was the first hotel chain to ask our guests to re-use their towels. Today, the hang-up-your-towel concept is standard at hotels around the world.
TOM... more than 4 out of 5 of our hotels are eco-labelled and the proportion is growing all the time.
TOM... we have drawn up a checklist of 135 points which we call our accessibility standard, so we can provide the same services and products for everyone.
TOM... we have arranged the world's largest blind lunch, in total darkness, in order to highlight the annual Day of Persons With Disabilities.
TOM... we serve more than 25 million cups of coffee each year and all of our coffee is ecologic, and FairTrade or UTZ-certified.
TOM... we have the Guinness record in the worlds longest breakfast buffet.
