We are looking for a Summer Trainee for a Quality Assistant position to support our Supplier Quality team in Martinlaakso, Vantaa.

The duties of a quality assistant include, among other things, preparing claim cases and shipping documents for material deviation returns and supporting the team in material change management. You will help the team to verify the supplier documentation compliance to customer and Murata requirements. As a quality assistant, you will also provide support in tasks related to receiving customer returns and processing data.

We expect applicants to have:

• Studies suitable for the position (e.g. materials technology, electronics).
• Very good IT skills (e.g. MS Office as well as basic knowledge of databases).
• Fluent in English with excellent communication and cooperation skills. Good Finnish skills are an advantage.

We also appreciate any previous experience you may have in electronics production, sourcing, logistics or quality control. Experience in document maintenance tasks and the use of an ERP system is an advantage. We do not expect that you already master everything, but that you are interested in quality work and supplier relationships, want to develop as an expert in the field and are able to take responsibility for the tasks designed for you.

This position is a full-time, fixed-term seasonal position with flexible daily working hours. The length of the contract is 3.5 months and according to the summer contract period, the work will begin in May-June. The exact working period will be agreed with the selected candidate. The job is mostly on-site, but there are opportunities for some remote work.

In this summer job, you will learn more about the sensor supply chain and get to know the materials, quality requirements and working methods typical of the semiconductor industry with material suppliers. Our summer job gives you excellent opportunities to develop your expertise, especially in matters related to quality management. You will gain valuable work experience in an international, growing technology company with advanced design and manufacturing technologies, and some of the most brilliant experts in the field. Our products work in demanding, safety-critical applications, such as cars and pacemakers, making our work interesting and challenging.

How about the team?

Our supplier quality team is responsible for the quality of suppliers and materials, including material qualification, deviation management and various change projects. You will become part of a team of materials and semiconductor engineering professionals, and you will also work closely with the failure analysis laboratory, sourcing and production. You fit well in our team if you value independent work, learning new things and enjoy a dynamic environment.
