Epassi’s purpose is to boost everyday well-being. We are a leading provider of employee benefit solutions across Europe. Epassi has been awarded by the Financial Times as one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe on multiple occasions.
We are currently hiring Lead Product Designer (App) to be based in Helsinki, Hamburg or Bremen
Your mission at Epassi
To deliver on Epassi’s vision as the “Daily Wellbeing Companion” by unifying and elevating the end-user app experience across all markets.
Your responsibilities will be:
Serve as the global design authority for the Epassi App UI layer, setting and enforcing standards across all markets. Lead concept creation, interaction, and visual design for modular/super-app structures, ensuring a unified and scalable user experience. Leverage and evolve the Epassi Design System for overall consistency and operational efficiency.
You’ll be successful in this role if you:
You can switch between taking your time to explore interaction concepts and making practical design decisions to make sure we get things done on time.
You are highly collaborative and communicate with ease with other designers, engineers and product managers, as well as brand marketing.
The first 6-9 months: you will define the foundations and the first realization of our future app UX concept together with our current app designers.
What you’ll be doing (daily):
Design collaboration and leadership: You will have a morning sync call with a mug of coffee or tea with all the app designers to discuss a global onboarding experience and who will work on what and what does the user research tell us today.
Focus work: Then you will analyse on your own the different user needs and potential flows and interaction models around a key app concept.
Breaks together: Now is time for a break and a lunch with local colleagues.
Seeking alignment and making decisions: In the afternoon you have a 1-1 with the UI Architect and last but not least a meeting with brand marketing to align on a new animation guideline.
What you should bring:
7 + years of proven success in at-scale, complex apps, e.g. “super-apps”. Knowledge and perspective on the latest app design trends. Understanding of the possibilities and restrictions of AI in both design process and in the end-user experience.
You have a good grasp of how mobile and app technical opportunities and restrictions impact design-decisions. You are familiar with mobile accessibility requirements. Preferably you would have experience from HR tech, Fintech, wellness or sports sector.
Your language profile:
Fluent English is required, German or Finnish language skills are appreciated.
Your track record:
You have worked on published consumer apps with a significant user-base, preferably multi-market and multi-language. You have led complex design projects from start to finish. You have created or significantly contributed to app design systems. You have moved key UX and business metrics.
