Scandic Hotels is looking for a Corporate Communications Manager

Are you a strong corporate and financial content creator as well as a caring relationship builder? As Corporate Communications Manager at Scandic Group, you'll work to build trust and relevance for Scandic as a company and drive, strengthen and protect the Scandic brand through proactive and reactive communication.

You’ll report to the Communication Director at Scandic Hotels Group and be part of a team operating across multiple markets, responsible for developing Scandic’s internal and external communication. You will actively contribute and plan to support our overall strategy, business goals, financial reporting and communication plans to influence the perception of Scandic's brand and products. You will work closely with executive management and leadership teams across the company.

Specifically, this means:

  • You actively contribute to the development of the communication strategy and execution of annual communication plans aligned with Scandic's overall strategy.
  • Driving and creating content that effectively communicates Scandic's financial performance, strategic priorities, and corporate narratives through genuine, warm, and inspiring materials such as articles, images, films, press releases, public affairs initiatives and events.
  • You constantly seek to develop and drive proactive communication opportunities across the organization.
  • Participating in internal projects to plan and execute communication towards our prioritized target groups.
  • Operating on both a strategic and tactical level, acting as an advisor in corporate communication matters while managing key spokespersons in daily communication challenges.
  • Be a part of the crisis communication workstream, which includes press duty and operationally handling contacts with General Managers and executive leadership teams.
  • Building strong relationships/networks externally with media and journalists.
  • Building relationships to work smart and achieve goals is a close collaboration with colleagues in the communication department and the extensive network of contacts around the company.
  • Follow up, monitoring, analyzing and acting on media coverage of Scandic and the hospitality industry.
  • Developing and creating press releases, articles and other material targeting our different target groups.
  • Optimizing existing ways of working and exploring new working methodologies within communication expertise area.

You excel at translating financial and business information into clear, impactful communication for diverse audiences. A strategic thinker with a strong business mindset, you are skilled at navigating corporate and financial contexts, always seeing opportunities to enhance brand reputation and stakeholder trust.

You are humble, have a collaborative mindset and are used to putting the team first. You have excellent written and oral communication skills, a hands-on approach and are used to creating content in different media formats. You are structured and quickly grasp the business perspective on communications and strategy. An international environment is nothing new, and you are used to managing various project and internal and external stakeholders at the same time.

A bit about you:

  • You have experience in both external and internal communication, including financial reporting and corporate communication, with a proven ability to create activities that inform, engage, and inspire diverse target groups across various channels and countries.
  • You are creative, innovative, genuinely interested in communication and have a sharp pen to formulate messages linked to our strategy and brand position.
  • You feel accountable, can independently seek out new challenges and drive new initiatives, and effectively balance and prioritize different tasks.
  • Very good experience in strategic and tactical planning and can engage others by turning strategy into action.
  • You have solid communication and strong social skills, including the ability to build trust, inspire and motivate groups, and communicate with people from all levels of the company, as well as external stakeholders.
  • You get energy from building relationships and can collaborate smoothly between teams, individuals and different functions, both internally and externally.
  • Broad experience in working with press, media relations, social media and crisis communication.
  • Project management and content creation for larger events i.e. AGM, CMD, annual reports and quarterly reporting is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Swedish and English.
  • At least six years of relevant working experience in PR and communication roles at agencies, large stock listed companies/brands, and media houses.
  • A university degree or the equivalent in communications, marketing and strategy, business administration or journalism.
  • Experience working with different publishing and editing tools.
