What you will do...

We are looking for a Solution Architect to help develop Kesko Grocery Trade’s eCommerce solutions and the custom tools that support our internal processes. In this role you’ll work hands-on with multiple projects as a trusted architecture counterpart and take part in their day-to-day activities.

Your key focus is to turn business needs into feasible, scalable solution architectures - while understanding the overall IT architecture of K Group and working within its boundaries and constraints.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create and evolve target architectures and solution designs for eCommerce and internal digital tools.
  • Act as a trusted architecture partner for several projects and participate actively in their daily work.
  • Translate business requirements and ideas into implementable solution architectures and concrete changes in practice.
  • Visualize and communicate complex technical topics in an understandable way for project stakeholders.
  • Analyze problems creatively and systematically, and evaluate trade-offs between different solutions, systems, roles, and constraints.
  • Support and guide the developer community through mentoring and hands-on coaching (as needed).
  • Continuously improve Kesko’s digital business architecture capabilities, practices, and ways of working.

Are an experienced IT professional, and you understand the importance of business-oriented end-to-end processes.   • Relevant academic background in the IT field or have a closely related degree or relevant experience in the industry.

We are also expecting that you have knowledge and understanding at least some of below things:

  • Core Dev Tech: TypeScript, React/Next.js, SSR/SSG/CSR, React Native
  • Cloud: Azure and AWS (Multi-cloud), Cloudflare
  • Backend/Data: Microservices/Modular monoliths, Postgres, Elastic Search
  • Integration: GraphQL/REST API Design, Event-driven architecture (Kafka, AMQP, etc.), OAuth 2.0
  • Governance: Architectural Decision Management (ADR Process)
  • Financial: Life Cycle Costing (TCO Analysis)
  • Quality: Software design principles, Observability best practices, Security & Compliance by Design (e.g., OWASP top10)
  • AI: Agentic AI, LLMs(MCP Model Consumption Patterns, RAG systems)

Next steps
