Area Sales Manager Southern Italy

Reporting to the Country Manager, the Area Sales Manager has the dual mission of promoting the brand's products and developing the quality of the network in compliance with the sales policy defined by the division. He advises and proposes solutions to meet customer needs and constraints.

Job duties:

  • Promoting all the construction machinery ranges marketed by the brand (mini excavators, wheel loaders, tracked transporters and accessories)
  • Developing machine and product sales in B2B
  • Developing sales with rental companies and major accounts in B2C
  • Controlling and monitoring network performance (Wholes and Retails)
  • Building action plans and monitoring the objectives defined for each dealership (definition of objectives in collaboration with the sales Director for Italy)
  • Setting up product training courses for the network, technical follow-up and evaluation of the salesmen
  • Following-up on price grids established by the division management
  • Making decisions for exceptional discounts and/or price adjustments
  • Adapting marketing operations to dealer needs and requests
  • Setting up of the local strategy
  • Managing the distribution network - controlling dealers sales and the developed market share
  • Participation and support in the implementation of dealer projects in compliance with the long-term manufacturer policy.

Skills & Requirements

  • At least 7 years of professional experience in sales
  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
  • Experience in developing the customer portfolio
  • Experience managing and directing distribution network
  • Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English is mandatory
  • Located in the Southern or Centre part of Italy
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure.
