You, Us & The Job

Network & Analytics is a small team within PostNord’s strategic department, Nordic Strategy & Solutions. We try to support the decision-making and change within PostNord, attempting to honour our Nordic perspective and the needs within our different country organizations.

In our team, we have senior experience and understanding of our logistical network, together with competence related to the more technical and operational challenges. We also have knowledge and ability to extract data from the PostNord operations, paired with the aptitude to analyse and conclude. We now need to add new key competence, to handle our mission more fully – someone who can take the lead in understanding our real-world challenges and capture them in dynamic simulation models, enabling us to better understand the consequences of various alternatives and change initiatives.

What will you do?

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the simulation modeling initiatives that you or we identify will add value and support PostNord. You will in many cases need to take a more proactive approach, given that you are expected to see opportunities to contribute that others will not realize – until presented with the model as such. You will support and have interfaces with many parts of PostNord – the colleagues in the same unit (Network & Technology) having a more operational or a more technological focus, but also the country organizations, Finance, and other units in the strategic department.

Given the strong competence in process understanding you have and will nurture through your work, you are in more general terms expected to help those focusing on operational excellence in identifying improvements – with or without the assistance of simulation. Tasks related to presenting and visualizing data, might also be encountered.
