What if cutting-edge AI could give everyone access to institutional-grade investing strategies? At AlphaSortino, we are building an AI-driven fintech platform to democratize sophisticated portfolio management for all investors. The global retail investing market exceeds $60 trillion, and index funds and robo-advisors dominate—but they often deliver average returns and limited personalization. We aim to change that by combining advanced quantitative models with AI-powered customization.
We are supported by KTH Innovation. We have a robust Python-based quant foundation and prompt structure, validated through stress tests and simulations, and a pilot user (an experienced industry CEO) testing our portfolio right now. Our vision is clear: deliver world-class investing strategies at index-level cost.
The Role and Journey Ahead
Your mission: build AlphaLLM from scratch on top of our existing Python code and prompt structure. You will have full responsibility for the AI architecture, integrate LLM-based components with quant modules, and make the product scalable and intelligent. This is an operational role with potential to evolve into a co-founder position. You will also help shape the future AI team as we grow.
- Design and implement AlphaLLM – our AI engine – on top of the existing codebase.
- Integrate LLM-based components (RAG, agents, tool-use) with quant modules.
- Develop pipelines for evaluation, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Deploy solutions to cloud environments (Docker/Kubernetes) and maintain CI/CD workflows.
- Shape technical decisions, architecture, and coding standards.
- Contribute to building a future AI team around AlphaLLM.
What We Offer
This role is initially unpaid. Compensation will be in the form of equity until external funding or revenue is secured. You join at an early stage with significant influence and potential equity. We offer the chance to work in a KTH Innovation-supported startup, with access to coaching, networks, and resources. You will have full responsibility for the AI strategy and architecture, and the opportunity to become a co-founder.

Skills & Requirements
- Experience or strong interest in LLMs, Python, and MLOps.
- Knowledge of modern AI/ML frameworks (OpenAI, HuggingFace, transformers).
- Familiarity with CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and cloud architecture.
- Bonus: Background in finance, portfolio theory, risk metrics (CVaR), and time-series analysis.
