Integration Engineer

About TimeEdit
At TimeEdit, we are on a mission to reshape how universities and colleges operate globally. Our Academic Operations Platform is a crucial component for over 200 institutions worldwide empowering them to manage complex scheduling, resource allocation, and curriculum planning with greater efficiency and a data-driven, student-centric approach serving more than 2.5 million students. As a fast-growing, Gothenburg-based SaaS company, we are at the heart of an industry undergoing significant digital transformation. We foster a culture of transparency and flexibility, empowering our team members with the context and freedom to drive real impact.

The role
As an Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping how TimeEdit connects with the wider academic ecosystem. You will design, build and maintain scalable, secure and reliable integrations that enable seamless data flow across systems.

Following the launch of our first native integration with Microsoft Outlook, we are now expanding into new, high-impact integrations that will further strengthen TimeEdit’s position as the leading Academic Operations Platform.

You’ll be part of a small, dedicated team responsible for defining integration patterns, frameworks, and best practices that ensure consistency and long-term maintainability. The role spans from architecture and design to implementation and monitoring, working hands-on to bring integrations into production.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain high-quality integrations between TimeEdit and third-party systems.
  • Build APIs, webhooks, and event-driven pipelines using our core tech stack (Node.js, TypeScript, Pub/Sub, MongoDB, GCP).
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and security through robust architecture, monitoring and error handling.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers and customer-facing teams to translate functional needs into technical solutions.
  • Define and evolve our integration framework, promoting reusability and alignment across teams.
  • Contribute to documentation and internal tooling that enable faster and more consistent integration development.

About the company

TimeEdit was born in Sweden in the mid-90s when an astrophysicist decided to turn a chaotic Excel sheet into a smarter way of scheduling. Fast forward to today, and we’ve grown into one of Europe’s leading EdTech scale-ups - just recently we celebrated 200 customers and 2.5 million users worldwide.

Our Academic Operations Platform helps universities become more student-centric, improve retention, and boost operational efficiency. From curriculum management and scheduling to resource planning and registration, we provide modern tools that make academic life easier for students, faculty, and administrators alike.

We’re expanding fast across Europe, Australia, and beyond – and we’re just getting started. If you are a person with high ethos, thrive under ownership, and slightly more ambitious than those around you - join us in our important and fun mission.

Context, not controlIf the team is fully aware of our purpose and how it maps to TimeEdit's current state of business, we believe we can make much better decisions and accomplish far more than through a top-down management model.

Swing for the fencesWe encourage experimentation. Better to try and sometimes fail than to sit tight and… fail for sure. Each mistake carries a lesson, and we make sure to learn from it.

Judgment > PoliciesSocial media policy. Travel policy. Buy a round of beers at an event policy. Work from home policy. Nay. Our policy on these (and most things) consists of three words: Use good judgement.

Work-life fitWe're scaling a company where people can build their work around their life, not the other way around. Flexibility means you're in the driver's seat to create a schedule that works for you, your passions, and the people you love.
