Lead Developer (Salesforce)

We are looking for a Lead Developer with extensive Salesforce experience to join our COP (Commercial Offering Platforms) team and help improve WithSecure’s business systems that support our lead-to-cash process.

This is a hands-on technical role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Salesforce solutions that support sales, marketing and customer support processes. You will play a key role in ensuring that our Salesforce platform and other related tools — are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business needs.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll also help define good development practices, mentor others, and ensure what we build is secure, maintainable, and fits within the broader system architecture.

Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware Development and Design

  • Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce applications and components, focusing on Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Revenue Cloud
  • Manage and evolve the Salesforce development process, ensuring consistency with WithSecure's company architecture and security standards.
  • Translate complex business and pricing requirements into scalable and maintainable Salesforce solutions.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Workday, AWS).
  • Evaluate and optimize system performance, scalability, and lifecycle cost of implementations.

Architecture and Process

  • Lead or contribute to the architecture and design of Salesforce and related systems.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and integration teams to ensure smooth data flow across systems.
  • Analyze dependencies and risks across the Salesforce ecosystem, providing mitigation plans where needed.
  • Ensure that all development follows security best practices, balancing implementation cost with risk.

Engineering Culture and Leadership

  • Drive good engineering culture through code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Mentor and support other developers and help raise the technical bar of the team.
  • Contribute to effort estimations, planning, and cross-team design discussions.
  • Help define and improve development standards, deployment practices, and CI/CD processes.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and Salesforce configuration (Flow).
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce data model, security, and deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Ability to design and review scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills — comfortable working with technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Revenue Cloud and CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote), Subscription mgmt. and Billing.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or Sales/Service/CPQ Consultant.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Copado, Gearset).
  • Familiarity with integration platforms such as MuleSoft.
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum delivery methods.
  • Prior experience mentoring or leading other developers.
