We are currently hiring a Senior QA Engineer (Microsoft Technologies) to be based in our office in Leatherhead, Surrey

About the role:

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our SaaS platform.

You’ll work closely with developers, product owners, and QA teammates to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle. You’ll lead testing strategy, champion automation, and mentor junior QA team members.

Technology:
Microsoft .NET 9 and up, Microsoft Azure, C#, Azure DevOps and GitHub, Selenium, Playwright, Specflow, NUnit, Docker containers, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub CoPilot

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define and implement test strategies for new features and releases
  • Lead automation efforts across UI, API, and integration layers
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and quality from the start
  • Maintain and evolve automated test suites
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices
  • Investigate and report defects with clear reproduction steps
  • Perform exploratory, regression, and performance testing
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools
  • Ensure quality gates are met in CI/CD pipelines

What we are looking for:

  • Ideally 5+ years in software testing, with a focus on automation
  • Strong experience with Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools
  • Solid understanding of APIs and backend testing
  • Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g. JMeter)
  • Proven track record of improving test coverage and reducing defect leakage
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams with developers and product owners
