Main goal

The Commercial Operations Coordinator supports the delivery of sponsorship and broadcast rights across UEFA Club Competitions and National Teams. This role ensures the smooth implementation of commercial partners’ contractual rights and contributes to operational excellence through project coordination, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration.

Key responsibilities

Sponsors Rights Delivery & Special Projects

  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of commercial partners’ rights at UEFA matches and related events.
  • Develop staffing plans to ensure proper on-site coverage.
  • Serve as the main contact for venue teams and partners, resolving issues and managing expectations.
  • Plan and execute sponsors' special projects.
  • Contribute to efficient rights activation processes, including documentation and reporting.
  • Draft and review activation guidelines for commercial partners.
  • Support front and back office setup for partner platforms.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on rights delivery progress.
  • Track and review available rights for business development proposals.

Commercial Operations Documents & Procedures

  • Prepare manuals, guidelines, procedures, and reporting tools for rights delivery.
  • Support content development for briefings, workshops, and training.
  • Set up and monitor ICT platforms for user functionality.
  • Coordinate season preparation and site visit reporting.
  • Manage season binders with appropriate access rights.

Administrative & Organizational Tasks

  • Manage administrative duties related to Sponsorship Operations and VSSM assignments.
  • Coordinate annual contracts with suppliers, partners, and clubs for hospitality.

Communication & Coordination

  • Liaise with internal units and external stakeholders for planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with venue team managers, stadium authorities, and functional areas.
  • Deliver training sessions and develop materials for VSSMs/VOBMs.
  • Manage competition-related inboxes and compile reports.
  • Oversee sponsor approval processes with internal units and agencies.

Ticketing & Hospitality Support

  • Support delivery of commercial partners’ ticketing rights.
  • Verify ticket-related documentation and procedures.
  • Maintain ticketing and hospitality tracking overviews.
  • Assist with data extraction, purchase orders, and distribution tracking.
  • Contribute to hospitality program development and service enhancements.

General Support & Administration

  • Organize workshops, meetings, and briefings.
  • Provide back-office support for match preparations.
  • Act as VSSM or support during the season and lead sponsorship delivery for UEFA finals.

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

Experience:

  • 3–5 years in international sports event marketing or sponsorship management
  • Experience servicing high-expectation clients and venue management in football or other sports
  • Proven experience in managing sponsorship delivery programs

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or any related field
  • Further studies in Sports Events Management or Project Administration

Languages:

  • Fluent in English
  • Any additional European language

Other requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and ICT platforms.
  • Solid project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to deliver under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 10–15%)
  • Strong interest in sports, football, premium events, and sponsorship
  • High service orientation and client servicing skills
