WHO ARE YOU?

• Experienced: You bring 8+ years of backend development experience, ideally in data-intensive, distributed systems.
• Skilled in data: You’re an expert in PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and streaming technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Architect-minded: You design scalable data architectures and pipelines that handle both real-time and batch processing.
• Builder: You’re fluent in JVM languages (Java/Kotlin), familiar with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and skilled with CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborator: You thrive in cross-functional teams, connecting engineering with data science and product.
• Mentor: You enjoy raising the technical bar and shaping best practices in data-centric engineering.

WHAT’S THE JOB LIKE?

Day-to-day work & projects cooking

You’ll be part of the Insight as a Product team in the Mobility Vertical, building the foundation for how Vend delivers actionable insights to users. Your day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust backend services and data pipelines that enable real-time analytics and machine learning.

Key projects include:

• Building and maintaining microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Designing scalable data pipelines with strong focus on data lineage, observability, and governance.
• Developing APIs and data storage layers that deliver insight-ready datasets.
• Enabling ML model management for deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle automation.
• Collaborating closely with teams across Oslo and Krakow to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
