As a Senior DevOps at Blooper Biotech, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's technological innovation and ensuring the seamless operation of its critical systems. Reporting to the Head of DevOps, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable infrastructure solutions that support Blooper's research and development efforts.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective DevOps strategies
- Automating and optimizing deployment processes, infrastructure provisioning, and application management
- Implementing and maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performing cloud-based infrastructure
- Monitoring and troubleshooting production environments, identifying and resolving issues proactively
- Continuously improving system performance, reliability, and security through the adoption of best practices and emerging technologies
- Mentoring and training junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Extensive experience in DevOps engineering, with a strong understanding of cloud computing, containerization, and infrastructure as code
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go, and experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Elasticsearch
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest DevOps trends and technologies, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
