We’re looking for a Lead Cloud Engineer to join our Architecture & Platforms organization — a key role that bridges our cloud application and infrastructure domains. Whether your strengths lie more in backend systems, infrastructure automation, or both, we want to build around your expertise.

Our goal is to find one exceptional person who can bridge both domains or two complementary professionals who together bring depth and breadth across the stack. About the Architecture & Platforms unit

Our mission is to provide a modern, well-architected foundation for F-Secure’s consumer products that ensures scalability, security, and efficiency across everything we build. We identify and solve platform-level challenges, develop reusable components, and standardize practices to make development smoother across teams.

You’ll work at the intersection of Platform Excellence and product delivery teams — a place where architecture meets hands-on engineering. Expect collaboration, technical ownership, and meaningful impact.

Our cloud platform is built on AWS, with key domains including:

Our core stack includes AWS Lambda, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, Python, Terraform, AWS CDK, and GitHub Actions — all operated with a DevSecOps mindset.

What you’ll do?

Depending on your expertise, your focus might lean toward application-centric development or infrastructure/platform engineering or combine both.

• Design, build, and evolve shared backend services, frameworks, and infrastructure components used company-wide
• Drive cloud-native architecture, automation, observability, and reliability practices
• Partner with architects and developers across F-Secure to guide modernization, migrations, and effective reuse of shared components
• Optimize performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of AWS environments
• Strengthen cloud governance, network architecture, and security automation across multi-account setups
• Enhance developer experience through improved tooling, CI/CD, and self-service capabilities
• Contribute to architectural vision and mentor others in applying best practices

What we’re looking for?

We value hands-on expertise, architectural thinking, and flexibility. You may come from either a strong backend or infrastructure background — or have evolved to master both.

• Proven experience in designing, building, and operating cloud systems on AWS
• Solid skills in Python and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar)
• Understanding of distributed systems, reliability, and security principles
• Experience with CI/CD, container orchestration (ECS/EKS), and modern observability tooling
• Ability to balance long-term vision with pragmatic, incremental delivery
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to guide others and work across team boundaries

Bonus points for:

• AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect)
• Experience bridging application and infrastructure domains
• Background in developer enablement, platform teams, or multi-account AWS environments
