About the position
As R&D Manager – Power Electronics within our Mobile Power Solutions business, you’ll drive innovation in Pescara by guiding and empowering a cross-functional team with the clarity and structure they need to excel. You will serve as both the people leader and the technical reference point for the team, providing clear direction and taking ownership of key engineering decisions in power electronics. By combining leadership with strong technical understanding, you will enable the team to deliver innovative, reliable, and high-performing products, turning the product roadmap into market-ready solutions. At our Pescara site, you’ll make a tangible local impact while gaining international visibility across Dometic’s global network.
Your main responsibilities
- Ensure that development teams deliver products that are safe, reliable, and meet required quality and performance standards
- Lead continuous improvement of development processes to increase efficiency, quality, and speed in bringing new products to market
- Build and manage partnerships with external consultants to secure temporary expertise and resources when needed
- Take the lead on the technical decision-making process for power electronics product development

Skills & Requirements
A suitable background would include a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Product Development, R&D, or a related managerial function, as well as the following qualifications and experiences:
- University degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, or a closely related field)
- Strong hands-on experience in power electronics, battery systems, inverter design, power conversion, or energy storage technologies is required
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and solve complex technical challenges across the full product lifecycle
- Experience working effectively in an international matrix environment, with a proven ability to translate product roadmaps into reliable, high-performing technical solutions
