Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Business Development Advisor to strengthen our ambitious Business Development, Marketing & Communication (BMC) team in Brussels.

In this role, you’ll be a driving force behind our various business development initiatives - ensuring that ideas become results. Working closely with our lawyers and international BMC colleagues, you’ll help strengthen the firm’s market position, identify and pursue business opportunities, and contribute directly to our firm’s growth.

Your role

As Business Development Advisor, you will be responsible for the execution and coordination of key business development projects. You’ll make sure plans move forward, deadlines are met, and stakeholders stay aligned. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Business Development Manager and partner group with day-to-day business development operations.
  • Drafting and coordinating pitches, client proposals, and legal directory submissions (Chambers, Legal 500).
  • Supporting and following up on client and sector teams, ensuring actions are implemented and tracked.
  • Conducting market and client analyses to support the BD Manager and partner group in their strategic decision-making and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Managing and updating BD-related databases (CRM, client lists, pitch database).
  • Providing operational support to the wider BMC team where necessary, and occasional backup for events and communications projects.

Skills & Requirements

About you

You are a self-starter who loves seeing things through. You combine a structured, organised way of working with a collaborative and positive mindset. You like transforming plans into concrete steps - and you get satisfaction from getting things done.

You also bring

  • A degree in business, law or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a professional services or consultancy environment (law firm experience is a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills in English, and strong professional proficiency in Dutch and French.
  • Solid analytical and IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • A hands-on, pragmatic approach with attention to detail.
  • A natural sense of ownership and a “get it done” attitude.
