We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Return Good Coordinator within our Quality team. This position reports to the Lead Product Segment Quality Assurance Manager and will work in our Elkhart, IN office.

As a Return Goods Coordinator in the Elkhart, In team, you will be involved in managing all incoming returned materials, either as Return for Repair (R&R), product warranty, product exchange or RMA (Return Material Authorization) and assisting with the processing of nonconforming materials and providing support in root cause analysis activities to the Engineering, Manufacturing and Segment Quality departments as needed. The RGA Technician will be able to communicate well and connect business needs to solutions. As an instrumental team member, he or she will work closely with Segment Quality team to resolve customer issues, increase customer satisfaction, and generate product sales.

General Responsibilities

    • Evaluate and process Customer and Warranty Returns including final disposition of claim. Interact with quality group as required. Tests and inspects finished products returned. Compiles and documents data.
    • Analyzes product returned from customers as necessary to determine failure modes and determine acceptance or rejection of Warranty/Customer claims. Ability to properly document and communicate final disposition and gather data.
    • Records test data, evaluate data to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
    • Sets up and performs tests on parts, or products to measure performance characteristics.
    • May enter data into computer systems for analysis and updating of database.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
    • Manage and process RMAs (Return Material Authorizations)
    • Assist in Return Goods Analysis and testing activities for warranty early warning system.
    • Provide input and assistance in warranty analysis activities performed by Segment Quality-Engineering team.
    • Interpret work instructions. Ability to read electrical schematics and understanding of electrical components.
    • Must maintain open communication with reporting manager and team regarding test results.

Skills & Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in XXX as well as having acquired the following qualifications and experiences.

  • High School Diploma or GED required, additional education a plus.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred; previous experience in Quality or related field preferred; must be able to operate a personal computer; preferred tow motor experience.
  • Understanding of reading and recording current amperage and temperature.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC preferred.
  • Basic electrical knowledge with 120V AC and 12V DC preferred.
  • Common knowledge and usage of the following tools and various testing equipment:
    • 110 Power
    • 12 V Power
    • Voltmeter
    • Vacuum Pump for removing R134A and R410A
    • Propane
    • Multi Meter
    • Pressure Gauge
    • Screw Gun
    • Sniffer For Coolant Leak
    • Hi Pot Tester
    • Die Injector
  • Computer skills using ERP/MRP system in a manufacturing environment.

  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 40 lbs. and perform other basic physical demands of the position as needed.
