The role

Are you a Master's student in AI, Computer Science, or a related field looking to make a real-world impact with your thesis? Join our R&D team and help us push the boundaries of image analysis in molecular diagnostics.
Your thesis will focus on developing and optimizing AI-based methods for analyzing microscopy images. The goal: transform raw image data into high-quality, quantitative biological insights that support our cutting-edge Hyperplex PCR™ assays.
You'll work alongside experienced software developers and scientists in a dynamic, collaborative startup environment, gaining hands-on experience in the intersection of AI, image processing, and diagnostics.

Your profile

We’re looking for a curious and motivated Master’s student who enjoys solving complex problems with code and algorithms. You do not need a background in biology. Instead, what matters most is your ability to think analytically and design robust, intelligent solutions using AI and image processing techniques. Strong mathematical foundations and algorithm development skills are key to succeed in this project, especially as you’ll be working on extracting meaningful patterns from complex image data.

Required:

  • Enrolled in a Master’s program in Computer Science, AI, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • Solid programming skills in Python, including libraries such as NumPy, scikit-image, OpenCV
  • Strong understanding of algorithms, statistics, and mathematical modeling
  • Strong understanding of applying AI to develop solutions
  • Interest in image analysis, machine learning, or data science
  • Clear and effective communication skills in English

Nice to have:

  • Experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Plotly, or similar
  • Previous exposure to working with image data (e.g. microscopy, medical imaging)
  • Experience using Docker, Git, or other development tools
