Main goal

UEFA EURO 2028 will be played in eight cities across the UK and Ireland. Organising a EURO is a challenging task and we need fantastic, dedicated and experienced people in all sectors.


The EURO Technical Services Manager is a member of the Technical Services & Overlay team and is responsible for planning, tendering and implementing all services related to venue and broadcast power, remote power monitoring, broadcast and media areas, temperature control solutions and water and wastewater systems.
This position is also the main point of contact for the local organising structure (UK&I) on all matters regarding health and safety, the technical approval process and frequency management.

Key responsibilities

• Defining, procuring, sourcing and installing technical services and overlay in close cooperation with internal UEFA teams as well as other stakeholders
• Managing the technical services project and establishing an appropriate operational and reporting structure and effective workflow processes
• Ensuring that the agreed project plans are implemented according to the set milestones and delivered within the agreed budget
• Conducting quantity surveys and market research
• Designing and publishing tenders in cooperation with the UEFA Procurement unit and evaluating, appointing and coordinating suppliers
• Working closely with internal and external project leaders and the venues to ensure that the tendered items meet all the existing on-site conditions as well as to ensure consistency across all venues
• Overseeing and consulting services delegated to the local organising structure (UK&I) to ensure cooperation on frequency management, health and safety procedures and technical approval processes
• Providing detailed briefings and constant support to the venue implementation teams during the set-up, tournament and dismantling periods

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

Experience:

  • more than 6 years of experience working in event production
  • more than 4 years of experience in the technical planning of corporate, industrial or sports events

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, any other degree in electrical engineering or similar

Languages:

  • English / proficient

Other requirements:

  • AutoCad / proficient
