The Role: Build the AI Infrastructure Behind Our Products
As a Backend Engineer in our AI team, you won’t be training models — you’ll be putting AI to work across Simployer’s ecosystem. You’ll help extend our internal AI engine, integrate it into our domain modules, and make it accessible, reliable and scalable.
You’ll work hands-on with C#, Python or TypeScript to build APIs and backend functionality that powers AI-driven features. Whether it’s contextual assistants, intelligent workflows or smart insights — your work will shape how AI becomes a native part of our platform.
This is applied AI with impact — designed, built and shipped to production.

Skills & Requirements

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain our internal AI API and platform components
  • Integrate AI features into existing backend modules across multiple domains
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the AI adds user value
  • Stay up to date with AI developments and iterate based on what works
  • Work closely with developers and QAs across Stockholm, Sarpsborg and Gdansk

You’ll be joining a tight-knit, high-performing team that moves fast and values autonomy, ownership and delivery over job titles.

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Solid experience with backend development in C#, Python or TypeScript — to build reliable, scalable code
  • A pragmatic, learning mindset — AI is evolving fast, and so are we
  • Strong problem-solving skills and autonomy — you can explore new code and figure out the context
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience — enough to contribute without needing a long ramp-up
  • Fluent English skills (written and spoken) — our teams are cross-location and international

Bonus points if you also have:

  • Experience with frontend tech like React
  • Startup/scale-up mindset — getting value out fast, working across domains
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills — explaining ideas and pushing projects forward

  1. Intro Chat: A quick conversation with our recruiter to get to know you and for you to learn about us and the role (approx. 30 minutes).
  2. Logic test and Personality test (Alva Labs) – Discover how you’ll fit with our team.
  3. Meet & Greet: Meet with your future manager to dive deeper into your experience and discuss the role (approx. 1 hour)
  4. Case interview: Show us your skills through real-world problem-solving. (approx. 1 hour)
  5. HR Chat: Let’s talk culture, values, and your future with us. A casual chat to wrap things up, answer any last questions, and make sure we’re a perfect match (approx. 30 minutes).
