Java Back-End Developer

Your Mission at Epassi
As a Java Back-End Developer at Eudaimon – part of the Epassi Group, you will be a key member of the Engineering team, collaborating closely with colleagues to analyze requirements, design, and develop new features that power Epassi’s innovative corporate welfare solutions. You will contribute to building scalable, reliable, and efficient back-end systems that ensure seamless user experiences across our digital platforms.

What you’ll be doing

  • Work with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into robust and secure technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain back-end services and APIs using Java Enterprise Edition and related frameworks.
  • Contribute to the architecture and implementation of microservices and middleware/ESB components.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and manage data integration processes using ETL tools.
  • Utilize GitHub for version control, ensuring structured and traceable code management.
  • Use Excel as a tool for data analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure software quality and performance.
  • Write and maintain clear documentation, and promote and apply best practices in software development and secure coding.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Java Enterprise Edition development, mainly Spring Boot within microservices or middleware/ESB environments.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, API integration, and secure coding.
  • Basic familiarity with AWS and its main components (ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, Cognito, CloudWatch).
  • Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, also MySQL) and JavaScript.
  • Experience using GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools, especially Talend DI, for data extraction and transformation.
  • Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis and processing tasks.
  • Basic understanding of Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
