About the company

Kiilto is a family-owned company based in Finland with over a hundred-year history. Kiilto develops, produces, and markets chemical industry solutions in the fields of construction, industrial adhesives and fireproofing, professional hygiene, and consumer goods. Kiilto’s operations span 9 countries. In 2024, the group's net sales amounted to 220 M€.

1919Our story began in 1919, in a small factory producing hair tonic and shoe polish in the Pispala district of Tampere, Finland. Later our business has grown stably, evolving into new business areas and new countries, and creating new innovations.

2025We are a growing, family-owned company of over 700 Kiiltonians. About 10% of our personnel work in RDI. We are looking far into the future and have a constant drive to reinvent ourselves, in order to grow sustainably and determinedly.

2028We are constantly seeking new ways to reduce our CO2 emissions and decrease our energy consumption. We have made a promise to be carbon neutral by 2028.

2080Our vision is to produce and sell solutions profitably still in 2080, and we are taking sustainable steps towards that future every day together with our customers.
