Seeking a CTO & Co-founder to Shape the Future of Inclusive Mobility

CTO & Co-founder for AccessMyWay, a startup supporting people with visual impairments as their partner in independent mobility.

Visual impairments shape the everyday experiences of millions of people across the globe and Europe. This influences how people navigate public spaces, connect with others, and access information, often requiring ongoing adaptation, support, and resilience. Our mission is to support people with visual impairments in confidently navigating the world and accessing social activities on their own terms.

Today’s solutions for independent mobility are too often unaffordable, inaccessible, or inadequate to meet the real-world needs.

At AccessMyWay, we are building a smart mobile assistant to plan and book social and cultural visits, supporting more confident, independent journeys and everyday social connections. Our mobile app features a crowd-sourced map that fosters community connections and promotes social well-being, working alongside existing navigational aids like canes or guide dogs to enhance, rather than replace, users’ mobility strategies.

Our milestones so far

  • Developed a medium-fidelity prototype with the help of power users.
  • Established early partnerships with prominent social event organizations in Sweden.
  • Backed by KTH Innovation, where we have access to business coaching, co-working space, and extended network in funding, technology, and design.

Our team

Our founding team is currently based in the UK and Sweden and has a strong background in human-computer interaction and assistive technologies, including AI-enabled systems. We value diversity, inclusion, and human-centered approaches to ethically design and develop our product.

Who we are looking for

  • Believe in continuous learning and experimentation.
  • Are comfortable making decisions and weighing tradeoffs.

Skills & Requirements

You will be a good fit if you:

  • Have experience with mobile app development, preferably iOS.
  • Have experience with accessibility-focused development or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Have experience with AI technologies (e.g., computer vision, NLP) or a strong willingness to learn.

Location

You choose where to work, either part-time or full-time. We can collaborate in the same space or work remotely with flexible working hours.

What we offer

As a co-founder, you'll have an equity stake and the opportunity to shape the company’s future. We will work together to secure funding, with the goal of transitioning into a salaried position.
