IT Core Service & IT Coordinators department has today 14 team members who are responsible for Postnord’s IT Core Service Infrastructure such as Network, Datacenter, Postnord Central Network, Observability Platform, Telephony and our Database Platform. We also have IT Coordinators in Denmark and Sweden that coordinate IT projects within Postnord’s business and Business projects with IT involvements.
The infrastructure technologies are constantly evolving, and we always aim for secure, reliable services. In our work we continuously keep an eye on Postnord’s overall vision and strategies to ensure our services enable and support the company’s market positioning.

Job duties

In the role of IT Service Manager for Network at Postnord, you will be working with strategic, tactical and operational duties around Network WAN, LAN & WLAN services. Your primary focus is Operational Service Management but you are also responsible for ensuring there is synchronized cross-planning and communication amongst the key stakeholders steering. The role includes:

  • Governance steering and follow up on operational activities on a daily bascis, which requires close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsibility for total service cost, to set a budget and forecast of Network services and strive for cost optimization of services.
  • Set road map, drive and steer life cycle management activities to always have a secure, supported and updated environment.
  • Be part of the function to review and approve or decline requests.
  • Work closely with supplier managing Postnord’s Network collaboration related workloads and having continuous follow-up with supplier regarding service level agreements (SLAs) and ensuring the service delivery processes meet Postnord business needs.
  • Operationally monitoring the service performance, managing incidents, and ensuring relevant services are continuous and reliable.
  • Work with the supplier around continuous improvement
  • Budget, follow-up, forecasting and invoice handling for your service area in where you are hands-on handling accounting and when relevant periodization or accruals of costs according to defined processes.
  • Balance the continuous improvements and user experience with respect to the allocated budget and business plans and priorities ahead.
  • Collaboration and communication with stakeholders both within IT and in the business regarding their needs.
  • Stay up to date on IT market trends and innovation.

Skills & Requirements

We are looking for you who have

  • At least five years of experience in governing and/or managing Network, preferably in a large and complex environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Network technologies and have active interest to set roadmaps and life cycle management within the area.
  • Basic understanding of ITIL framework.
  • Strong sense for operational and maintenance duties.
  • Proficiency in both Swedish and English, in speaking and writing.

We believe you are a person that is and have been interested in Network technologies. Your way of working is inclusive, structured and responsible. You need to be able to handle stressful situations and prioritize job tasks independently. You are communicative, easy to collaborate with and being diplomatic in your way of creating and nurturing long-term relationships.

Additionally, you have previous experience of systems like Service Management Tooling, Power BI and other tools required for Business Planning (budget, follow-up, forecast).

It is an advantage if you have previous experience from working in a similar role.
