Then this might be an opportunity for you. We are now looking for a Consultant/Senior Consultant to join our team in Thailand.
You will join South and Southeast Asia (SSEA) – a key region within Business Sweden that operates from nine local offices. South and Southeast Asia is one of six global Market Areas, and a key focus is to grow both the advisory & governmental parts of our business. At our Bangkok office, we’re primarily responsible for the Thai market, but we do also assignments in Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar. Currently the team in Bangkok consist of five colleagues in the consultancy team working across different industries and with assignments stretching from strategic market analysis, establishment support to business promotion programs and strategic platforms e.g. Regional Sustainability Hub in Bangkok.
The role includes both strategic, tactic and operational responsibilities such as:
- Represent Business Sweden as a trusted advisor, finding solutions to our clients’ most pressing challenges.
- Responsible for building strong client relationships, scope assignments, and drive project delivery ensuring well-grounded insights are easily communicated to clients.
- Easily navigate both business promotion and strategic consulting assignments for clients ranging from small to large.
- Proactively work with sales including initiation, driving dialogues and support of the team developing a solid pipeline for the office.
- Preparing and arranging promotion events, round table discussions and B2B meetings for Swedish companies.
- Collaboration with the Swedish Embassies in the countries we operate in, to provide support and business promotion platforms for Swedish companies.
- Help identify and be part of Trade and Development projects.
We expect that you enjoy driving own initiatives as well as team work as the role comes with a high degree of freedom and responsibility. The role is based in Bangkok, but you will be expected to work with our teams and clients around the world, as required.

Formal requirements
- Master of science in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent
- Proven track record of working with Trade & Development related projects, programs initiatives
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience from a consultancy firm or equivalent
- Proven track record of developing and executing deals with deep customer insight, strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Experience of working in an international context and of successfully managing cross-border project assignments.
- Experience of leading project teams and an interest in developing and growing talent.
- You have a high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English and Swedish
