Customer Solutions is one of four Solution Areas within PostNord IT, comprising around 150 professionals across multiple teams. We handle all customer-facing products, including the PostNord App, PostNord Business Portal and various customer APIs. Our product teams manage their products from start to finish.

The Customer Solutions department at PostNord is structured to ensure efficient collaboration and innovation. The department is led by the head of Customer Solutions and includes various Product Owners and Technical Leads responsible for different aspects of customer solutions. This structure ensures that each area of customer solutions is managed by dedicated professionals who focus on delivering the best possible outcomes. 

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Domain Architect to join our Customer Solutions department. As a Domain Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and improving all aspects of our customer interactions working closely with various departments and development teams to ensure that our solutions are aligned with business goals and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will have technical responsibility over 15 teams, guiding them to achieve excellence in their respective areas. This role requires a strong emphasis on collaboration and support, combined with the ability to set clear guardrails to guide the development process. You will report to Head of Customer Solutions and collaborate with Enterprise Architecture Team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams and especially Tech Leads, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. 
  • Lead the design and architecting of customer-facing applications by setting the target architecture for the domain and ensuring the architecture meets the business-needs, such as scability, security and user-friendliness  
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architect team to drive the domain architecture board for decision-making, and lead the Customer Solutions organization in following PostNords standards, guidelines and guardlines. 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporate them into the architecture as appropriate. 
  • Align with Cyber Security Department and address security questions within the department.

Skills & Requirements

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who has proven experience as a Domain Architect or similar role, ideally within a customer-focused environment. You should have a strong understanding of architecture frameworks and methodologies. Additionally, the following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Experience with customer-facing solutions towards consumers, businesses, and partners is required. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile Architecture and strategies for scaling Agile development is essential. This includes understanding how to adapt Agile methodologies to large-scale projects and ensuring that architectural practices support Agile principles. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

It is also meritorious if you have previous experience of Customer Relationship Management systems as well as knowledge of cloud technologies and modern software development practices. Experience in the logistics industry is also a plus.
