We now have an open position for an experienced Electrical Engineer (Elektroinstallatør), to join the existing Utilities team based at our state-of-the-art battery cell factory. You will conduct diagnostic tests on electrical circuits and components, configure and calibrate test equipment, document results, and maintain logs of anomalies. You'll also troubleshoot and replace defective parts to ensure system reliability.

This is a key role in the operation and maintenance of the High-voltage and Low-voltage electrical systems in the Morrow Cell Factory (MCF), collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to achieve optimal performance and maintain high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety regulations, implementing necessary safety protocols.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues and malfunctions of the electrical system and infrastructure, conducting root cause analyses as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, plans, and documentation of electrical systems and infrastructure.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and energy efficiency in electrical systems.
  • Ensuring cost efficiency on services, products, and expertise in case certain scopes are contracted to external service providers.
  • Develop, manage and implement recovery plans in case of system breakdowns, power outages and other system deviations of the electrical systems and electrical networks.
  • Work with other disciplines on technical matters related to controls, mechanical, piping, process, and equipment.
  • Ensure rigorous adherence to risk assessments and safety measures
  • Be the professional responsible (driftsleder) for DSB inspections and compliance audits

Skills & Requirements

  • Relevant master's or bachelor's degree or a two-year education as a technical school technician with a relevant certificate
  • DSB certification as an installer (Norwegian approval as “Elektroinstallatør’)
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with project management and electrical engineering for industrial applications
  • Experience in the maintenance of electrical equipment
  • Familiar with Febdok documentation and calculations.
  • Systematic, accurate, and efficient approach to work.
  • Creative and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proactive attitude, seeking advice and sharing experiences with others.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Norwegian.
