Web development team lead, Oulu

Team lead is responsible for directing and organizing the team project activities under the direction of a project manager. Team lead is an integral team member in project teams and works with team backlog the same way as other team members. Typical size of a team is 6 developers + quality assurance engineer + project manager. We want you to be competent in modern web development such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, software architectures, MySQL databases.

The focus for the team lead is to support the team in their daily delivery but from time to other this person may support with some customer facing project management work. The project manager can delegate work to the team lead, but still retains the responsibility and accountability.

Areas of responsibility

  • Strive for building a high-performing, happy team.
  • Facilitate the meetings: Backlog refinement, Sprint planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Demo, Retrospective.
  • Listen to the teams impediments in each daily scrum and work to remove the impediments.
  • Constantly coach the team in the scrum process and support team culture
  • Be a process owner of the team and make sure the standard work process set by the company and the team itself is followed.
  • Protect the team and the sprint from outside interference and work overload
  • Document retrospective findings to Trello and/or Confluence.
  • Support Project manager with the team work forecasting
  • Support quality of work being performed by development team
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the project team
  • Makes sure that everyone are progressing and helps if needed
